The Incredible Mexican Inspired Wedding Of Sabrina & Eduardo
We met Sabrina and Eduardo on December 2018 when they came to Riviera Maya for venue scouting for their wedding; they were looking as well for a planner to help them organise their dream wedding and at the same time to stick to their budget; we were honored they choosed us from all our fellow planners in the area and started working right away!
Sabrina and Eduardo wanted a villa to accomodate their closest family members and to host their 50-guest wedding so we visited different venues and the winner was Villa Kaak Naab in Playa del Secreto.
We started planning along and I must say, in all these years, Eduardo has been one of the grooms more involved in the planning process, this was refresing because three heads think better than two and lots of good ideas came up from all our phone calls and group messages.
Three months before the wedding a terrible thing happened!! The owner of the venue was victim of a fraud and lost his property, so we didn’t have a venue at this point!! Fortunately Sabrina and Eduardo got their deposit back but the days prior to that were awful for them and us!!
So here we were, starting from scratch looking for a new place that will accommodate 16 guests for 7 nights plus the wedding. The days passed and with the help of one of the vendors, we got a fantastic deal in this amazing venue Secret Jewel and the Villa next door in Playa del Secreto, this was perfect because it was the area were we originally had booked the wedding.
All and all it was a beautiful day, in the middle of October and not a single drop of rain, the sky was clear, it was windy and fresh and as we say, things happen for a reason and this turn out to be a GORGEOUS WEDDING and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you!! Hope you can find some inspiration 🙂
For the ceremony, Sabrina and Eduardo decided to have a simple but beautiful bamboo stick arch, decorated with 2 tropical leaf arrangements and cross back chairs in chocolate color with white cushions.
As a gift to their guests, they had the fabulous idea of buying white maracas that they customized themselves along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Sabrina’s aunt had the honor of presiding over the ceremony which always gives a very personal touch.
Rectangular tables in chocolate color and the cross-back chairs of the ceremony were the choice for the dinner furniture with a wooden dance floor that matched perfectly.
The color palette was orange and fiuscia pink, super colorful! For the centerpieces the bride and groom bought some molcajetes that we used as the vases for the flower arrangements made with cempasuchil, carnation and rose flowers, but the most beautiful part of the table set up were undoubtedly the beautiful hand-embroidered table runners brought directly from Chiapas , Mexico, which at the end of the night were also a very special gift for their direct family.
Photos of the different places where they have traveled were the table numbers and the cherry of the cake, clay jars with cactus plants of various types as an extra touch.
